DAY 1 : PHNOM PENH ARRIVAL

Arrive in Phnom Penh, meet your guide and transfer to hotel. This city was once considered one of the most beautiful in the Orient, and despite its recent turbulent history it still retains a colonial charm.

In the afternoon, visit Phnom Penh including the Royal Palace complex. This palace dates from 1866 and was the last one built during the French colonial period. The same complex houses the Silver Pagoda, named for the over 5000 silver tiles
that cover its floors. Its original name is Wat Prakeo, meaning Temple of the Emerald Buddha. In this temple you will view a collection of Buddhas in gold, silver, crystal, and bronze. Continue on to the National Museum, built in 1917.

DAY 2 : PHNOM PENH – CITY TOURS (B)

After breakfast, visit the Toul Sleng Museum of Genocidal Crimes. The museum is housed in a former school which was taken over by the Khmer Rouge and used as a detention and torture centre. You will also visit Cheung Ek, better known as the Killing Fields, located 15 kilometres outside of the city. Spend a half day exploring the markets of Phnom Penh.



In the afternoon, you will also visit the Russian Market, the
best place in the city for wooden and stone carvings, old coins, jewellery, and Cambodian and Chinese silk clothes.

DAY 3 : PHNOM PENH – SIEM REAP – ANGKOR
THOM (B)


After breakfast, transfer to the International Airport of Phnom Penh to Siem Reap. Arrive in Siem Reap, meet your guide and transfer to your hotel. Siem Reap is the base for exploring the fabled temples of Angkor, the ancient capital of the Khmer Empire.

In the afternoon, visit the Great City of Angkor Thom, which was the last capital of the Great Khmer Empire under the reign
of Jayavarman VII. This city is surrounded by an 8 m high wall; each side of the city is 4 km long. It draws a perfect square you access this town through 5 gates; 4 of them represent the cardinal points and the 5th one the Victory Gate was the one leading directly to the Royal Palace Area. The day ends with a spectacular sunset at Phnom Bakheng.

DAY 2 : PHNOM PENH – CITY TOURS (B)

In the morning, visit the biggest religious temple in the world; the magnificent Angkor Wat Temple. Built by Suryavarman II, in early 12th century Angkor Wat is constructed following the model of the temple mountain symbolizing the Mount Merou, home of the gods. Considered as the masterpiece of the Khmer architecture, this Vishnuite temple is the King’s funerary temple. These are the main reasons to explain the West exposure of the temple.

in the afternoon, explore the temples of the Small Circuit. The most famous among these is Ta Prohm temple, built in the mid 12th to early 13th centuries. Ta Prohm is unique in that it has been left largely as it was found: overgrown by jungle trees and vines, with many parts of the temple crumbling to the ground. This makes Ta Prohm one of the most picturesque and memorable of the Angkor temples. Your visit will also include


















   Banteay Kdei, a Buddhist monastery from the late 12th Century, and Srah Srang, also known as the “pool of ablutions”. End your tour at the twin towers of Chau Say Tevoda and Thommanon.

DAY 5 : EXCURSION BANTEAY SREI – BIG CIRCUIT(B)

After breakfast, drive to the rural outskirts of Siem Reap, about 35km from town, where you will visit Banteay Srey, also known as the Citadel of women. This temple is considered to be the birthplace of Khmer classical style architecture. It is a small temple but its pink sandstone carvings are impressive. You will also visit Banteay Samre, a 12th century temple built by Suryavarman II and decorated with scenes inspired by the Ramayana.


Afternoon, combine your visits between a visit of the "Big circuit" comprising Pre Rup, East Mebon, Neak Poan and Preah Khan.

DAY 6 : SIEM REAP DEPARTURE (B)

After breakfast, you may spend some time to visit local markets for shopping or visit the Artisans d’Angkor. Artisan d’Angkor was established in 1992 in order to support Cambodian arts and crafts, and to help young people find work in their local villages by continuing the practice of traditional arts. Among the workshops available for visit are wood and stone carving, wood and stone lacquering, gilding, and silk processing. Free on your own till depart to the airport for the departure flight.
